Lake Charlotte vines are grown in gravely loam soils enjoying cold frosty winters and warm summers. The first vineyard in the district was established in 1878 on an adjoining property. When Dr John Gladstones recommended in 1966 that wine grapes be grown in Margaret River, he also suggested Wooroloo as suitable. |
